Northwest Demolition was contracted for the asset management and salvage of a Vanadium processing facility in the first of two large scale, remote location projects for Kerr-McGee Chemical.  The sales effort included a nationwide mailer marketing campaign, as well as privately negotiated sales.  Many of the items required decontamination prior to removal.  After removing all salable items from the five story, 60,000 square-foot facility, the structure was demolished to grade.

The second project involved the asset recovery and demolition of an adjacent superphosphate granulation plant.  Both demolition projects presented challenges unique to the chemical manufacturing industry and involved robust decontamination procedures including stringent air monitoring and fugive dust containment.

Both projects showcase Northwest Demolition’s ability to tackle complex and environmentally challenging undertakings in remote locations.
