| Northwest Demolition was contracted for the consolidation of dredged material spoils at Waipio Peninsula on Oahu. Due to the discovery of anomalies during the site characterization, NWDD deployed a fleet of robotic equipment, including a 40-ton R/C excavator and 30-ton R/C articulated haul truck equipped with 4k camera systems and recording capabilities, to safely sort, handle, and consolidate the debris within the Consolidated Disposal Facility (CDF). In total, over 15,000CY of dredged material was moved and consolidated remotely from within an armored blast box to make room for future dredged materials. |
