Safety

Nothing is more important than the safety of our employees and the general public. Therefore, Northwest Demolition has implemented a comprehensive health and safety program to assure safety is foremost on every job. Our company's safety record is produced through training, planning and implementation of safe work practices developed over our many years in business. We actively participate in the safety programs sponsored by the Associated General Contractors. Training for our field crews includes: 40-hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER), asbestos awareness training, lead awareness training, cardio pulmonary rescue (CPR), first aid, equipment certification and site-specific safety reviews.

Northwest Demolition employees undergo the following on a yearly basis to confirm and assure safe work practices.

  • Blood lead testing
  • Blood cadmium testing
  • Blood nickel testing
  • Blood chromium testing
  • Spirometry (lung capacity and flow)
  • Audiogram (hearing degeneration test)
  • Overall physical
  • Physician approval to wear a respirator and fit testing.
